We will set the table and prepare food based on the number of people in your reservation.
For party size changes, we require at least 72-hour notice. If reductions in your party size happen at the last minute or you have no-shows, you will still be charged for those settings. We're happy to box up any food for you to enjoy later.

Because we prepare the menu in advance, we would need to know of any specific food allergies ahead of time (eg: tomatoes, peanuts, or tree nuts).
We cannot accommodate any food allergies at the last minute. At this time, the only dietary restriction we can accommodate is vegetarianism. We DO NOT currently offer gluten-free or vegan settings.

Our kitchen is not free from citrus, corn, dairy, eggs, gluten, nuts, soy, wheat, or other allergens. We can not guarantee against cross-contamination of any allergen.

Our Afternoon Tea is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
We do understand that parents may want to do a Tea Service and bring their small children to be part of the event. You're welcome to bring your children under 6 and order snacks/drinks for them at the counter.

When making a reservation for a child 6-12, don't include the number of children in your total reservation number.
Use the add-on feature to select the number of children's teas you want to add. This way you will not get charged for an adult setting.

Afternoon Tea party guests are allowed to come 10 minutes before your reservation time to set up any additional decorations on the table.
Please keep in mind that the tea service requires a full table setting and table space is limited when deciding on what decorations to bring. Do not use any decor that is hard to clean up such as confetti or glitter.

WE ARE AUSTIN

LOOKING FOR A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT AFTERNOON TEA?

Afternoon Tea is an English tradition which began in the 1840s when nna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford announced she would get hungry between lunch and dinner. She declared she would like to eat a light snack around 4pm everyday. Cucumber sandwiches and scones with jam and cream along with a hot pot of tea were on the menu for the Duchess.

This wonderful tradition has since evolved and Afternoon Tea is increasing in popularity, especially in the UK. Chefs are adding to the basic menu and including new savory items and more French-inspired patisserie. Afternoon Tea still remains a delicate, lighter treat than the alternative English “High Tea” which is much hardier. High Tea was historically enjoyed by hungry manual workers when they came home and consisted of pies, bread and “builders” tea.
